Pray for the work of Palestinian organisations based in Hebron like Human Rights Defenders, the Hebron Defense Committee and Youth Against Settlements, all of whom mobilize people to engage in non-violent resistance to the occupation.

Pray for the local school principals and teachers who are obliged every school day to pass through Israeli military checkpoints and are often the subject of ID checks, bag searches or even body searches just because they want to teach the Palestinian children.

Pray for other Palestinian organisations that operate across the West Bank like the Palestine Red Crescent Society and Defense for Children International – Palestine. Their work is so vital.

Pray for the many Israeli peacemakers who work so hard for organisations who want to see an end to the occupation; organisations like B’Tselem and Military Court Watch to name but two.

Pray for the international organisations that do such important work across Palestine like UNICEF and UNOCHA.

Pray, too, for the work of EAPPI and ISM, international organisations that work so closely with CPT in Hebron, not forgetting to pray for CPT itself of course!

Above all, pray for the protection and safekeeping of all those people and organisations involved in nonviolent peacemaking in Hebron itself and across the West Bank. Since the exclusion of TIPH earlier this year, Israeli military and settler harassment and intimidation of Palestinians, Israeli peacemakers and internationals operating here has been noticeably ramped up. These people need your prayer support.

Eight years of Violence, Discrimination, Segregation, and Exclusion

On the eighth anniversary of the EU-Turkey Statement, we denounce Turkey and EU states’ consistent failure to uphold their international obligations with regard to migrants and refugees, and strengthen our joint commitment to challenge all official and unofficial policies that lead to the discrimination, segregation, and ultimately exclusion of migrants.
