Keesick's Treaty and Inherent Rights entitle her to build, hunt, fish and trap in Anishnaabe territory. However, the government of Ontario presumes to manage the activities of both aboriginal and non-aboriginal land users. "You manage your people, and we will manage ourselves," Keesick informed the Ministry of Natural Resources.
