A Call for Food not Missiles
CPT Steering Committee

CPT calls on Christians committed to stop hostility towards Iraqi(1) people
to wear ribbons with the words FOOD NOT MISSILES inscribed on them.
Congregations are encouraged to place ribbons on the altar this Sunday, and
each Sunday until children stop dying of hunger(2) under threat of missiles.
As an act of worship congregations are invited to incorporate a one-minute
ceremony of ribbon(3) distribution in the worship service, during which each
person in attendance is invited to come forward to receive a ribbon. This
act of worship will be completed as recipients wear the consecrated ribbons
daily in their workplace.(4) The ribbons will signify our faith that food
for people in Iraq(5) rather than missiles represents the deepest will of
God.
