Chicago: Dianne Roe portraits raise funds for CPT
Prior to joining Christian Peacemaker teams in 1994, Dianne Roe made her
living doing portraits in charcoal and pastels from photographs. As a means
of raising funds for CPT, Roe will draw a portrait from any photograph CPT
supporters send her in pastels ($60) or charcoal ($45.) Portrait sizes are 12"
x 16" or 12" x 18." Roe can also paint a portrait miniature on on a Christmas
ornament ($60.)
Since CPT has received a call to accompany Las Abejas (the Bees) in Chiapas
this year and continues to maintain projects in Hebron and Richmond, VA, the
financial resources of the organization have been stretched to a critical
point. Purchase of the portraits by Roe will help to cover the additional
expenses of accompanying the Bees--pacifist Christians who have challenged the
Mexican government to recognize the rights of indigenous people.
Orders for Christmas must be in to Roe by Thanksgiving. Send requests to CPT
PORTRAITS/ 182 South Place/ Corning, NY 14830. Roe may also be contacted via
e-mail at davidroe1 [at] aol [dot] com.
Roe will rejoin the Hebron team in January 1999.
