On 19July, the eve of Eid al-Adha, an ISIS suicide bomber killed at least 35 people and wounded many more in Sadr City, a prominent Shi’ite neighbourhood of Baghdad.

The market was crowded as people prepared for the festivities; a three-day religious holiday shared with family and friends. The attack wounded more than 60 people, and many were rushed to hospitals in critical condition.

We pray for the families and friends who lost their loved ones in this tragic attack, and we pray and work for a world in which everyone can live in peace and safety.
