Prayers
for Peacemakers, 13 September 2017

Today
we are witnessing the horrors of yet another genocide, that of the
Rohingya people
in Myanmar. Reports talk about the indiscriminate killings, mass
rapes, of homes and villages destroyed and deliberately set on fire.
Especially revolting are horror stories of children slaughtered with
knives.
Abuses are rampant in the form of torture and other
punishments.

“The
brutality is unthinkable. They’re killing children. They’re killing
women. They’re killing the elderly. They’re killing able-bodied men
and boys,” a human rights activist reports, “It is
indiscriminate.”

We
urge all peace loving people to come together and pray for Peace in
this region of our world today.

PRAYER
FOR PEACE

God,
in You we are all One.
No
one is a stranger to you
and
no one is ever far from your loving care.
In
your kindness, watch over the Rohingya refugees who are suffering the
horrors of indiscriminate killings and unspeakable crimes against
humanity. They are the innocent victims of a war not of their own
making.

Our
hearts go out to them in their hour of need and desperation.
We
ask you to help us relieve their sufferings,
as they are our own
brothers and sisters, our kith and kin
and your very own Beloved
people.
Bring them to safety, and to shelters of Love,
where
they can live with hope and courage for the future.

Kindle
in the hearts of each of us the true love of peace,
and
guide with Your pure and peaceable wisdom
those,
who today are making decisions for these Refugees,
that
in peace and tranquility Your kingdom of Love and Peace may
fill
the earth with the spirit
and energies of
Your love.

We
ask this in Your Name and in the name of all Peacemakers,

who love Peace and work for Peace in our troubled world of
today.
