CPT INTERNATIONAL: Christian Peacemaker Teams announces opening for OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) seeks a full-time Outreach Coordinator to manage CPT’s efforts to engage world-wide support for our partners, financially and through action and advocacy.  The Outreach Coordinator will serve as an ambassador of CPT, seeking out and participating in public speaking events, connecting new individuals and communities to CPT, and boosting existing support.  The position involves close collaboration with various circles within CPT to enhance donor and volunteer support for our mission.

Responsibilities include creating and overseeing global outreach strategies and implementing those in the USA; nurturing and expanding the base of CPT’s donors, volunteers and peace advocates; recruiting participants for delegations and field work; organizing fund- and friend-raising events; and participating in the overall work of the Administrative Team.

The position involves considerable travel including some international travel to meetings and/or project sites each year.

Dynamic candidates should demonstrate inspiring speaking ability; strong organizational skills; excellent people skills; commitment to grow in the journey of undoing oppressions; and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dispersed team across continents.  We prefer someone with nonprofit experience and a focus on grassroots social change organizations.

 

REPORTS TO: Administrative Director

TERMS: Full time, 40 hours/week, three-year appointment

COMPENSATION:$24,000/year*

BENEFITS:100% employer-paid health, dental and vision coverage; four weeks annual vacation.

LOCATION:USA required; Chicago preferred; candidates based outside Chicago area must work from CPT’s Chicago office on a regular basis.

START DATE:July 1, 2018
