Title 42 continues to expel migrants on the US/Mexico border
A draconian law from the Trump era remains in place, putting migrants in even more danger
A draconian law from the Trump era remains in place, putting migrants in even more danger
United States policies on migration are increasingly violent, focusing on border reinforcement and immigration reform, but fail to address migrant deaths. We acknowledge and remember those migrants who die alone in the desert and we pray for reconciliation on our borders.
Pray that migrants will be protected from Border Patrol and Mexican cartels alike.
Mourn for the people who are still waiting to request asylum.
Pray for strong women everywhere who are finding creative ways to support their families.
Pray for the safety and physical and emotional health of everyone who walks through the gate of the CRM.
Pray that one day soon the border will re-open and people can again request asylum and no longer live in danger.
Pray that officials will permanently stop the construction and that “not another foot” of the wall will be built.
Give thanks for the volunteers who are working many hours every day to provide food, first aid, and emotional support to the migrants.
The spiritual discipline of calling the names of those who have died is one way that we remain hopeful while living and working at the US/Mexican border.
