The Declaration was crafted by Indigenous peoples and representatives of nation-states over 25 years. It affirms the inherent rights of Indigenous peoples; rights that are “the minimum standards for the survival, dignity, and well-being of the Indigenous peoples of the world”
A miracle of time has been given! Now for the miracle of a stop to the threat of the mine!
Unless the Minnesota Governor and Attorney General grant a stay on construction until the numerous appeals are heard in court, construction is expected to continue for the next six to nine months. There is a promise that resistance to the construction will continue as well.
Unfortunately, many people arrive in sacred places like Oak Flat without any reverence or care and therefore miss protocols and opportunities for deep connection.
Jesus, you revealed the Kingdom of Heaven among fishers struggling to make a living in the shadow of Imperial power. Speak your word of peace
