Pray for the upcoming 2022 presidential and legislative elections in Colombia.
We ask for prayers for the Guayabo community who have been resisting for over ten years against the violence of large landowners.
We ask for prayers for our partners, who have allowed us to walk by their side and be witnesses of their struggle and resistance.
Systems are built on distinctions, hierarchies and privileges that are not “natural” or fair.
Pray that legal and illegal armed groups do not involve civilians in the dynamics of the armed conflict.
We call on the local authorities, the Colombian state, and the armed groups to respond to the needs of the community.
Pray for the young people who have been assassinated by the government during these two months of the strike.
The importance of land is paramount; solving the violence that Colombia has experienced lies in addressing the inequalities of access to land and the lack of development of the rural sector.
May 24 is International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament.
