Kamaran and Julian, our Iraqi Kurdistan team members, will run for peace at the Erbil International Marathon on October 27. For every one of the 26 miles they run, they aim to raise funds towards a new vehicle for the IK team. The area the team covers to accompany partners —some who live in remote villages targeted by cross-border bombings, journalists in other cities and Kurdish Social activists advocating for change from education policy to a cleaner environment— spans almost all of the Kurdish territory in northern Iraq.
