Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, order your disciples to

Jazeera village near Ramadi. In November 2003 US soldiers entered this
home from two sides and ended up killing each other. Surviving soldiers then 
went to the front of the house and killed Iraqi villagers being detained there.

A helicopter and tank finished off the house. Bullet holes through the car are

visible. As of February 2004 US authorities had not compensated the family.

Lord, renew among your war-weary people the gifts of
lamentation in the face of wrong, sharing in suffering, partnering with
all who stand in and for peace and good, and offering oneself to protect from
harm anyone branded as “enemy”.
