Europe ConvergenceOn 15 May, participants at the annual CPT European Convergence held in London, England, joined other international religious peace activists for a public vigil at the UK Home Office (in charge of immigration).  They drew attention to the 1,800 migrants and refugees who have died in the Mediterranean Sea so far this year and the British government’s culpability in these deaths.  Last summer, CPT Europe maintained a small team of Reservists and volunteers on the Greek island of Lesbos to document the treatment of migrants at ports, courts, and refugee reception centers.  This summer, CPT Europe will organize peacemaker delegations to accompany refugees who have crossed from Turkey to Greece.  For more information, contact program@cpt.org.
