Delegations to Colombia

Human rights, dignity and territory: A call from the mining communities of Northeast Antioquia.

Bilingual delegation (Spanish-English)

December 6 to 14, 2025

The mining and peasant communities of Northeast Antioquia face a new escalation of violence by different armed groups in their territory. The lack of implementation of the Peace Agreements signed between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia -FARC- in 2016, and the new dynamics of the armed actors within the framework of the current government’s Total Peace policy have created an environment where there are no guarantees for the establishment of a comprehensive and lasting peace. Faced with a scenario of abandonment, the communities that walk in resistance, accompanied by our partners, The Humanitarian Action Corporation for Coexistence and Peace of Northeast Antioquia – CAHUCOPANA – weave alternatives to war and build paths to move towards peace with social justice.

In this delegation, you will share with communities and grassroots organizations that resist violence and oppression, building peace day by day. You will hear directly about their commitment to a dignified life based on respect for Human Rights and discover how you can be part of the change. It will be a transformative learning experience.

Join this delegation to meet and support these peace-building communities!
