CHILDHOOD UNDER
OCCUPATION

Pictured here: A lively children’s party in the middle of Hebron’s Old City brings smiles and hope. At the same, we remember that growing up under the constant violence of military occupation can never be considered a normal childhood.

SETTLER TOUR

Pictured here: Every Saturday, Palestinian children and adults face a blockade of Israeli soldiers, not allowing them to move inside their town during the settler tour.

DAILY LIFE

Pictured here: A small Palestinian boy watches as Israeli Border Police stop and body search Palestinian men on the streets of Hebron.

ILLEGALLY-CONSTRUCTED
SYNAGOGUE

Pictured here: A group of settlers rebuild a synagogue-illegally constructed on Palestinian land-that was demolished by the IDF. In a ‘price tag’ attack the night before, settlers harassed the Palestinian family in response to the IDF demolition.

IT NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS

Pictured here: You can’t blame the occupation for the rain, but you can blame the occupation for preventing Palestinians access to clean the drains and clear the blockage which caused the flooding which reached as high as 5 ft. in some places in the Old City. Homes were flooded and merchandise destroyed.

PASSOVER IN HEBRON

Pictured here: An Israeli soldier commandeers the roof of a Palestinian home in Hebron. Palestinians experience the Passover-which is a celebration of Liberation- as just one more of oppression.

WORDS OFTEN UNNECESSARY

Pictured here: It is not hard to find a smile on the faces of Palestinian children in the Old City of Hebron. Their smiles give us all hope.

Privilege of movement

Basic freedom of movement in Palestine—walking to the grocery store, driving to visit family, or flying internationally—depends on your nationality, race, and religion. As a Palestinian, you are denied these rights as others in your country move freely.
