CPT Position Opening: ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR

 
Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) seeks a full-time Administrative Director to empower and guide the work of CPT in fulfilling our mission. It involves working closely with CPT’s Program Director in a collaborative, consensus-based, team model. Primary responsibilities include overall financial and administrative oversight, strategic planning and culture formation, and board and staff development.  The position involves some international travel to meetings and/or project sites each year.

Candidates should demonstrate: wisdom and imagination; skilled leadership of group and organizational processes and capacity building; commitment to grow in the journey of undoing oppressions; and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dispersed team across continents.  We prefer someone with nonprofit management experience and a focus on grassroots social change organizations.

REPORTS TO: Steering Committee

TERMS: Full time, 40 hours/week, three-year appointment

COMPENSATION:negotiable; $24,000/year*

BENEFITS:100% employer-paid health, dental and vision coverage; four weeks annual vacation.

LOCATION:Chicago strongly preferred.

START DATE:October 1, 2018

*All members of CPT receive a needs-based subsistence stipend currently capped at $2000usd/month for staff. Exceptions can be made.  CPT endeavors to meet the financial needs of its members within a framework of conscientious, sustainable living and a spirit of service.  This commitment is rooted in a faith-based analysis of world-wide economic injustice and a critique of capitalist value systems.
