The hashtag reads #You(plural)AreNotAlone

Give thanks for the 16 peacemakers from 10 different countries spread over six continents who are training together and discerning their future commitment as members of the Christian Peacemaker Teams. Please pray for the success of the international mobilization against the assassinations of Colombian human rights defenders and social leaders.

Participants of the 50th CPT training, held this month in Cali, Colombia, are busily planning for a public action in solidarity with the Colombian human rights defenders and social leaders. Since the signing of the peace agreements in Colombia in 2016, hundreds of social leaders have been killed and many more face threats of death, violence or forced disappearance. On 26 July, CPT trainees will participate in a public vigil in the historic center of Cali along with with a Cali based organization Fundacion Guagua and families of the violently disappeared leaders.  The groups will later take part in an international solidarity mobilization against the on-going assassinations of the Colombian social leaders.

Please consider joining a march or vigil on the 26 July in your city or share solidarity posts with a hashtag #26julioelgrito.Please pray that this public mobilization may help to bring about an increase of protection from the Colombian government for those defending rights and freedoms of diverse Colombian communities.

Please hold CPT trainees in your prayers. Pray for their health, energy and strength as they reflect, learn, worship, celebrate, discern, eat and deal together with the intensive 31 days of training for peacemakers.
